John J. Binz, JD

John J. Binz joined McKinley Carter in 2019 as a Financial Strategist. Prior to that he served as a fiduciary advisor with PNC Bank in Pittsburgh. At PNC, John managed a book of business comprised of trusts and investment accounts in excess of $300 million in AUM, including high-risk government reversionary trusts. He also managed all of the continuing education classes and credits for the entire group. John is an alumnus of Gannon University, where he earned a Bachelor’s in philosophy. He later earned his JD from the University of Pittsburgh. While at Pitt, he focused on human rights law and interned at the Allegheny County Office of the Public Defender. After law school, John worked in the oil and gas industry as a landman, before he transitioned in to the wealth management industry.
